Trescothick rules out Test return

Somerset opening batsman Marcus Trescothick has ruled out the possibility of a one-off comeback to try and help the team win the Ashes.
Trescothick, 33, retired from international cricket in March 2008 because of a stress-related illness.
And he told the Bristol Evening Post: "Of course I thought hard about it. But there will be no England comeback for me in the final Ashes Test."
He said a cricket-based nightmare had helped make his mind up for him.
And as though to underline how much England still miss him, he smashed an unbeaten 80 off 61 balls at Bristol later in the day in an easy win for his county over Gloucestershire.
Trescothick, writing in his regular newspaper column, said: "It has been very flattering to see my name mentioned in so many circles since Australia's crushing win at Headingley and I'd be a liar if I said the prospect of playing at The Oval hadn't occupied my mind a lot.
"In fact, that has been the case to such an extent that the other day I woke up at 6.30am from a terrible dream.
"There is a nightmare a lot of cricketers experience that they can't get their pads on when they are due in to bat. My dream was a variation of that. I couldn't get my England kit out of my bag! The other players were waiting for me on the pitch to do a team photo so I was in a right panic. I woke up in a cold sweat.
"Perhaps that told me something. It gives me a massive kick that I am still thought good enough to come back and play at international level, but I've gone too far down the line in battling my stress problems to change my mind about now ending my England career."
Following England's struggles in the fourth Test there have been calls for him to return for next week's series decider against Australia at The Oval.
Trescothick, a member of England's 2005 Ashes-winning side, said: "My wife Hayley and I did talk about what my reaction should be if I were asked and we ended up having a good chuckle about it.
"She was prepared to back me if I wanted to play at The Oval and part of us both fancied the thought of getting involved again.
"But it just didn't feel right. Nothing in me made me feel I had to do it so I came to the conclusion that I don't want it enough."
The left-hander played 76 Tests, 123 ODIs and three Twenty20 internationals for England, making his last appearance in September 2006.
But he did not confirm his retirement from the international scene until last year when he withdrew from Somerset's pre-season trip to Dubai.
In April, Trescothick turned down an approach about the possibility of playing in the ICC World Twenty20, which England hosted this summer.
The difference between going abroad with Somerset and touring with England is that I can take my family with me as a holiday

He had another conversation with England skipper Andrew Strauss in the past few days but Trescothick said there had been "nothing direct" about him playing in the final Test.
"He knows I won't be reconsidering," said the Somerset man.
The England squad for the fifth Test is due to be announced at the weekend and Surrey veteran Mark Ramprakash and Kent skipper Rob Key have been touted as possible call-ups as England try to shore up their under-performing middle order.
Trescothick, meanwhile, will play for Somerset on Twenty20 Cup finals day at Edgbaston on Saturday. Should they win their semi-final against Kent, they will qualify for the inaugural Twenty20 Champions League in India later this year.
And Trescothick has already spoken to coach Andy Hurry about whether he would be able to travel for that tournament.
"The difference between going abroad with Somerset and touring with England is that I can take my family with me as a holiday," he said.
"I'm sure the other players at the club would be supportive. I've already spoken to a couple about the possibility and no objections were raised."
