Egypt’s Mohamed Salah scored in Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg to help them reach the Champions League round of 16.
The hosts went off to strong start after Zambia’s Enock Mwepu tested Alisson just three minutes into the game, however his shot was easily saved by the Brazilian.
In the fifth minute Salah nearly opened the scoring but his shot was denied by Salzburg goalkeeper, Cican Stankovic.
Two minutes later Alisson yet again came to the rescue after making a double save inside the six-yard box to keep the game 0-0.

In the 20th minute Sadio Mane got past the defender with ease before attempting to put the ball in the opposite corner but Stankovic was able to save it again.
The rest of the first-half didn’t see many clear cut chances due to strong defensive displays from both sides.
Then in the 57th minute, Naby Keita opened the scoring with a header, following an amazing solo effort from Mane who crossed the ball to the Guinean who found himself alone inside the penalty area.
Just one minute later, Salah doubled the scoring for the Reds after dribbling past the goalkeeper and putting the ball in the back of the net from a very tight angle.
This marked the 28-year-old’s fourth goal in the Champions League this season and his 11th across all competitions.
The defending champions now secured a spot in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 after finishing top of their group with 13 points, one above second-placed Napoli.

Liverpool, who remain unbeaten in the Premier League, will face Watford in their next game on Saturday December 14th
