Takumi Minamino reviews his first month at Liverpool

Image
Takumi Minamino knew all about the quality of the squad he was joining. After all, the Japan international played against, and lost to, Liverpool twice in the months preceding his transfer from Salzburg. However, it’s another collective attribute that has stood out to Minamino during his nascent Reds career; something else he’s noticed in an ‘enjoyable’ first month of working with the European and world champions.  The No.18 told Liverpoolfc.com at Melwood: “Liverpool is a top-class team. Even in training I can see the very high quality and in the games we don’t feel like losing. But the resilience of the team, I am feeling that much stronger than before I joined. “I’m getting used to the city and I’m getting used to the team as well. I have been enjoying this moment and I would love to keep doing so in the future.” Minamino has played three times for his new club so far, with two FA Cup appearances sandwiching a Premier League debut at Wolverhampton

How Salah changes any game at any time’ – Roma legend Totti lauds Liverpool talisman

The iconic Italian once played alongside the Egypt forward and admits that he needed a move in order to chase down “impossible” targets Mohamed Salah has become a superstar since leaving  Roma  for  Liverpool , concedes Francesco Totti, with the Egyptian now a talent who “changes any game at any time”. That potential was clear for all to see during a productive two-year spell at Stadio Olimpico where Salah found his shooting boots with Roma, becoming a prolific presence in the final third of the field. His game has, however, been taken to even greater heights at Anfield. Source.liverpoolfc.com

Jordan Henderson busted a football cliche against West Ham and proved he is a problem solver

Image
The skipper's form has been excellent in recent months and he showed an added value against West Ham United. There is a very fine line in football between making the most of a player's versatility, and squeezing a square peg into a round hole. The latter was a cliché often levelled at both Rafael Benítez and Brendan Rodgers in their times at Liverpool, and Jürgen Klopp's insistence that James Milner could be turned into a left-back during the 2016/17 season saw many question why a new player hadn't simply been purchased instead The majority of elite level footballers are specialists in certain positions, usually just one but some capable of performing at a high level in two. Against West Ham United on Wednesday night, though, Jordan Henderson was asked to play three different roles in the space of five minutes by his manager. The captain began the match at the base of the midfield, a position he has thrived in since Fabinho suffered his injury agai

Mohamed Salah's stunning slice of technical genius shouldn't be lost amid Liverpool's routine win

Image
The Egyptian produced a sublime moment of technical quality and vision to help put the game to bed for Liverpool against West Ham United. Mohamed Salah scored his 16th goal and provided his ninth assist of the season against West Ham.  (Image: Photo by Sebastian Frej/MB Media/Getty Images) So routine, so run of the mill, so business-like and procedural in its execution. Such was the transactional nature of Liverpool's 23rd Premier League victory of the season against West Ham United on Wednesday night that there's a danger in skimming over a genuinely sublime piece of technical quality, taking it for granted because such occurrences have become so habitual. When the end of season montage gets stitched together, Mohamed Salah's assist for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's breakaway goal here won't go down in the pantheon of iconic moments which have decorated this historic campaign, but it would be criminal if it were not featured. The Egyptian is renowne
