Andy Lonergan joined Liverpool on a short-term contract in August 2019.
The experienced stopper had been working with the Reds’ goalkeeping set-up during pre-season, including the tour of the United States.

Lonergan, who represented England at U20 level, has featured for several clubs throughout his career, including Preston North End, Fulham, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, Bolton Wanderers and Middlesbrough.
He was named on the substitutes’ bench for Liverpool’s UEFA Super Cup final victory over Chelsea in Istanbul on August 14.
