Nathaniel Clyne helped Liverpool re-establish themselves as a Champions League club after signing from Southampton in the summer of 2015.
An assured performer at right-back with the ability to support attacks from the flank, the Englishman was almost ever-present during his first season at Anfield, which coincided with the appointment of Jürgen Klopp as manager.
Clyne made 52 appearances in all competitions that campaign as the Reds fell at the final hurdle in both the League Cup and Europa League.
He carried that consistent form into 2016-17 – a crucial season in the Klopp revolution when Liverpool secured qualification for the Champions League again.

Sadly, though, a persistent back injury restricted the No.2 to just five appearances in the next term.
Clyne returned to fitness in 2018-19 and clocked up his 100th game for the club in a 3-1 win over Manchester United, before spending the remainder of the season on loan at AFC Bournemouth.
