Welcome to liverpool.com's daily round-up of all the news about the Reds' European rivals
After their midweek draw with Napoli in the Champions League, Liverpool return to Premier League action looking to maintain their unbeaten start to their domestic campaign.
Every elite club on the continent has the Champions of Europe in their sights, as they set their squads up to try and steal Liverpool's European crown.
So, let's take a look at the big stories in Spain, Italy, Germany, France, and beyond, and how they could affect the Reds.
Sancho set for “war in all directions”
A host of European clubs have been placed on red alert following reports that Borussia Dortmund are willing to listen to offers for Jadon Sancho in January.
Sancho has been linked with a move to Manchester United, Real Madrid, and of course Liverpool in recent months, following a superb first season with the German giants last.
The Independent are describing it as a “war in all directions”, with Sancho wanting to go, and the club now wanting to sell, but the Bundesliga side are believed to be holding out for a fee of over £100m for the former Manchester City man.

At 19, Sancho is already of a really high level, and his potential to improve even further under a manager like Klopp is vast.

An own goal by Grant Hanley and strikes from Mohamed Salah , Divock Origi and Virgil van Dijk - who would be named UEFA Men's Player of the Year later in August - saw Jürgen Klopp's side surge into a four-goal, half-time lead. An eventful first 45 minutes also saw Adrian make his debut for the club just four days after signing, the goalkeeper replacing the injured Alisson Becker for his first of 11 consecutive appearances in the league and Europe. And, five days later, the Spaniard would prove to be Liverpool's hero in Istanbul. Following a 2-2 draw after extra-time, the Reds overcame Chelsea on pe...

And yet, their magnificent history will forever be plagued by two of the worst stadium disasters of all time: Heysel and Hillsborough. Liverpool team picture from the club's first season. History Following the moving of Everton to Goodison Park in 1892, the club's then-president John Houlding suddenly found himself with the rights to Anfield stadium and no team to play on it.
