Jurgen Klopp on Mohamed Salah’s fitness: He looks 100 percent
The Reds defeated Bournemouth 3-0 at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday to remain top of the Premier League table with 46 points after 16 games played.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain opened the scoring before Naby Keita added the second before half-time as Mohamed Salah scored the third after the restart.
Following the game, Jurgen Klopp expressed his delight after his side’s dominant performance on Saturday evening.
“How I said, wonderful individual performances, the obvious ones like Naby, who was great, Mo, absolutely strong,” said Klopp in a press conference.
“There were many really, really good players but then especially how we controlled it from midfield with Hendo and Millie, that helped a lot.
“Joe Gomez after a while out of the center-half position looked then immediately really natural. All that helped and that’s what you need to win a football game,” he added.
Klopp also went on to provide an update on Salah, confirming that he is back to full fitness.
“It’s long ago that he got that knock but you carry things like this with you when have game after game after game. He looks now 100 percent.”
Liverpool’s next game will be on Tuesday against Red Bull Salzburg in their final game of the UEFA Champions League’s group stages. Kick-off takes place at 19:55 CLT.
