Wolves warning, Man City at their best: Liverpool's lessons learnt from Premier League rivals
A look at what Liverpool can learn from the latest weekend of Premier League action.
Liverpool took another step towards Premier League glory this season after extending their lead at the top of the table, following a relatively routine victory over Watford.
That triumph, accompanied by Leicester City's draw with Norwich City, saw the Reds extend their lead to 10 points.
However, Manchester City returned to winning ways by sweeping aside Arsenal in a 3-0 win, as they look to claw their way back in the hunt for the title, but Pep Guardiola's side remain 14 points off the pace.
Here, we've taken a look at the lessons that Liverpool can learn from the latest weekend of Premier League action.
Wolves provide a warning
Liverpool now turn their attention towards the Carabao Cup quarter-final with Aston Villa and the Club World Cup in Qatar but a significant test lies ahead in the Premier League over the coming weeks.
While the Boxing Day clash against second-placed Leicester City catches the eye, the visit of Wolves at Anfield three days later could also prove a tricky encounter.
Against Tottenham on Sunday, Wolves were very unfortunate to end the game with nothing and Adama Traore once again showed that he can be a nightmare for opposition defenders.
His direct approach down the wings could cause problems for Liverpool due to the Reds' high-flying full-backs, which may leave space for Traore to exploit.
