    In the short-term and long-term, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that the similarities don't end there; Van Dijk scored a late winner for Liverpool on his first appearance and if Minamino replicates that in what will be a rotated side on Sunday, it will be quite the introduction.
    But when Van Dijk arrived from Southampton for £75m, his task of threading together the patchwork that was Liverpool's defence was there for all to see. For Minamino, it is different.
